Custom woodworking for your home

Over fifty years ago my father taught me the skills of woodworking.  My wife, the artist, continues to teach me the art of woodworking.  By combining the skill and art, I help people design and build very personal and unique pieces of furniture and accent pieces to be used and displayed in your home or office.  I only use local sources for my materials.  That way I can control the quality of the wood and create resources who will help me find the most unique wood specimens for my clients.  I also use only the highest quality food-safe finishes to protect and enhance the look of the wood.  I want the finished product to be as natural and organic as possible. 

Here's how it works:  I work almost exclusively with live edge or slab wood pieces.  We work together to come up with the dimensions and types of wood you would like.  For table tops I prefer working with live edge cherry or black walnut but most hardwood will do.  For frames, aprons and legs, you and I will choose a color and grain that compliments the table top.  If you would like metal legs, we will work together to find someone to provide what you want.  Then if you want to add an epoxy "river" effect, we will work on some ideas.  After you and I have designed your table, the building begins! 

I have an inventory of bowls of various sizes (less than 11 inches round) and of various woods (cherry, maple, black walnut, and elm just to name a few).  Each bowl is finished with a premium all natural food safe finish and is water resistant.  Simply review some of the example pictured here and let me know what you would like.
